Priorities Moving Forward

Tom’s priorities include:

1. Implementing a more effective planning process in partnership with the Planning Board, with an inclusive approach to economic development, sustainability, and housing. This updated process will expand affordable and attainable housing options, welcome new families, and help older residents remain in our community. It will actively promote increased participation from residents and the business community to ensure future plans and projects reflect broad community interests and have strong public support.​

2. Implementing a new capital budget process that includes a 10-year facilities plan for all Town buildings. This work will be done in partnership with affected boards, through a thoughtful and inclusive process, with a continued commitment to sound financial management that respects the impact on residents and businesses.

3. Continuing to focus on sustainability and resilience by evaluating reliable, value-added systems and processes that help the Town meet its environmental goals.

4. Continuing to advocate for civil and respectful discourse and for valuing diverse perspectives when working through challenging issues and difficult choices.
